Kodak Carousel AF 760H slide projector page

9-5-25: Since I'm getting into projectors I decided slides were fair game also. I have some slides from 50 years ago that I shot with my first camera when this projector was new, in 1974. This was another completely unwanted projector from Goodwill that cost $8 bucks plus freight. Expect it will need at least a $20 repair kit. Should be here in a week or two.
9-15-25: Arrived in broken condition. Doesn't advance or reverse the tray. This unit does have auto-focus, so I'll need the more expensive kit. The fix should take me an hour or two. It came with a black 80-slide tray and the corded remote. The power cord isn't removable, and fits in a compartment in the bottom. The bulb and main motor work OK. I found a big zoom lens for this at a thrift shop nearby for $2.50, a huge upgrade.

10-3-25: The repair kit arrived from Amazon today, and I installed it. The hardest part was getting the new solenoid link back in it's slot. These shots taken with the Sony DSC-H7, which is my go-to camera for production on this site. After greasing the clutch pack up with Super Lube it started changing slides non-stop, but only when on it's feet. Upside down, or on it's side it worked OK. Turns out there's a switch hitting a catch wire ON the clutch pack. An orange wire leads to it. I cleaned that up with alcohol, and cleaned all the glass and the mirror inside with lens cleaner. The metal frame had what looked like aluminum powder stuck to it. I removed all that also, worried about shorts. It's working better, but still skipping some slides. It runs a lot hotter than I expected. There may be other faults. I found a service manual that should help.
